Suning: Premium Partner of CE China

As one of China’s largest commercial retailers, Suning is the premium partner of CE China. At CE China 2017, by integrating each other’s resources and advantages, Suning and CE China will carry out further in-depth strategic cooperation to meet consumers’ demands for new electronic products.

The group is engaged in the operation of franchised retail stores of household appliances in China, offering TVs, audio and video players, refrigerators, washing machines, digital and information technology products, small household electrical appliances, air conditioners, telecommunications products and other products. It operates business within domestic market and in overseas markets, including Hong Kong and Japan.

With an aim to establish a new benchmark for China’s consumer electronics and home appliances brands, Suning and CE China will also work together to promote cooperation within the industry.

During the show period of CE China (4 – 6 May), Suning is looking for further international industry partners. In addition Suning will introduce its latest developments, such as the intelligent cloud that provides various services to home users, home appliances manufacturers, start-ups and service providers.

Suning’s Over the top (OTT) business allows consumers to experience the latest electronic devices and get access to contents provided by PPTV, one of the largest video media portal in China.

And Suning’s crowdfunding platform is the only one of its kind that provides online and offline experience of the crowdfunding products. Suning’s crowdfunding platform gathers the most innovative projects to help boost China’s technological innovation.

Suning Appliance Company Ltd., which late in 2015 sold a 20% stake to Alibaba Group Holding Ltd., opened its first “cloud store” the same year in Shanghai. About half the store is devoted to an area where consumers can see and touch different goods, and then order online through iPads provided by the store or their own smartphones. Store employees also explain savings accounts and loans that Suning offers and that consumers can apply for online. Suning has now refitted dozens of stores as “cloud stores”.

The company also opened an online store on Alibaba’s Tmall.com marketplace and offers Tmall.com shoppers services in its stores.

Last year, Suning Commerce Group made a splash in Europe by buying almost 70% of Italian soccer club Inter Milan for 270 million euros, in the highest-profile takeover so far of a European team by a Chinese company.
